I am 47 years old and married with three children, who all attended local schools. I have lived in Wyre Forest all of my life and worked at Brintons for 30 years which I believe is where I built my reputation as a senior trade union representative, helping real people with real problems.

The residents of St Mary’s saw fit to elect me in May 2005 as their County Councillor, i would very much like to be given the opportunity to represent Oldington & Foley Park on Wyre Forest District Council.

I have over the last 12 months helped many people with all manner of problems, including highlighting problems with paths and roads, streetlights, mini motor bikes, abandoned vehicles, anti social behaviour, the list is endless.

I cannot gaurantee to wave a magic wand and sort out all problems immediately, but what I do promise is I will listen, take the necessary action and keep people informed.

Tackle the ongoing problems of anti-social behaviour by working closely with the police, council and housing associations.

Resolve the public transport problems caused by Tory rail privatisation and bus deregulation.

Continue the fight for more money for our local schools and to deliver the best health service we can for local people.

Attract new manufacturing to our area and support the existing business.

Paul is working with Advantage West Midlands and other interested parties to bring  employment to the old sugar beet site.

Paul says “Bringing jobs to the area can only be good for the future of Oldington and Foley park.”
