Gren has lived in Bewdley for about 25 years and enjoyed a career in the Civil Service which took him all over the country. He has been a school governor and has been a voluntary tree warden in Bewdley for well over ten years. He has an understanding of the political process and is familiar with the workings of local and central government.

He believes in local provision of services whenever this is feasible but accepts that certain specialist services have to be provided from a distance.
