email: mail@wyreforestlabour.co.uk
Born: 1944; Married 38yrs ; Two grownup children. Resident in Stourport for over 30 yrs.
Was a teacher as Senior Head of Department of Mathematics at Bewdley High School for 16 yrs.
He now runs his own business as an Independent Financial Adviser.
Cedric served as a Wyre Forest District Councillor from 1980-84. A Lay Minister (Reader) in the Church of England, he has been a governor for nearly 30yrs, 11 as Chairman, of the Windmill First School. He was also on the Temporary Governing Body of the new St Bartholomew’s Primary School, which opened on the Windmill Schools’ site in September 2007.
He worked hard to assist in the bringing together the communities of the three closing schools in Areley Kings. He has been actively involved with the appointment of staff in several schools through out the Wyre Forest Schools reorganisation and is extremely concerned that Stourport gets the Educational provision that it truly deserves, both at Primary and Secondary level.
Cedric opposes the proposed move of the district council to a “single site” in Kidderminster.
He comments “ This expensive move would endanger the future of Stourport Civic Hall. Although assurances have been offered, I note that no detailed work has been done on providing an appropriate replacement should the Civic Centre be sold”.
He would like to work alongside all Stourport residents on issues which affect the lives and well being of everyone.
