Vicky was born In Lancashire and came to the West Midlands in the early 80′s to study Architecture. She married a fellow architect and for nearly 15 years they ran a successful architectural based, in the latter years, in Stourbridge. Vicky now works for Birmingham City Council.She is married with two children and moved in 1997 to Blakedown, where she has been on the Parish Council since 2006.

Vicky says “I am planning to stand up and be counted by putting myself forward as your Labour candidate for Aggborough and Spennells. I feel it is important to provide alternatives to the reckless plans of the Tory-Liberal Democrat Coalition government that are trying to destroy our vital services locally and nationally in the NHS, in social services for the elderly, people with disabilities and children, in the housing and education sectors. These are the wrong cuts and they are happening too quickly.I care about the things that affect you because they affect us all. I believe in opportunities for all, not just those who can afford it. This means fairness, equality, open not ‘selective’ education and free health care. I believe everyone should be able to work and achieve a better life and the Labour party believe in all of these things too, so I hope you will vote Labour for the only real and effective alternative”
