In publications Jenny issued in the last year, she identified a number of priorities for Stourport town centre. Here, she re-visits some of these issues, to check progress.
High Street Resurfacing – Job to be done this week! Jenny says,
“A blighted street scene improved, a Labour priority achieved. Admittedly, Labour can’t claim all of the credit. However, we do say we have been the strongest and most persistent advocates of action in the years it has taken for the county council to complete the work.”
Lion Hill – Problem Resolved, Action Awaited Jenny says,
“Another case of Labour taking the lead. The owner of three unkempt areas of land, one grassed, two with bushes, has finally been identified and will pay for their upkeep. The work, re-landscaping and regular maintenance, will be carried out by Stourport Town Council.”
Better Floral Displays – Wait till Summer! Jenny says,
“At the direct instigation of Labour, through the Parks Committee, a better show of flowers in tubs will enhance the town centre this year.”
Jenny says,
“This shows how Labour cares for your community”
